The Community Church of Henderson is an evangelical bible-centered church. It’s members include people from nearly every mainline Protestant denomination as well as the Mormon and Catholic church. Our church seeks to be a family rather than an institution.
Many new people talk about how well they were received and how much they felt at home. This is by design not an accident. We want to reach everyone with the Gospel. We believe that all of us have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God, therefore repentance is a necessary component to our faith.
We have a strong mission program and take two to three mission trips a year. Our Vacation Bible School is exceptional. Depending on the year, reaches 50 to 75 children, some of whom have come to Sunday School. Our church provides bible studies on Monday and Saturday mornings as well as Sunday School for all ages on Sundays.
There is also a Women’s Bible Study that meets in the Fall and Spring on a variety of themes. We have two Women’s Groups that meet from September to May. The Men’s Group meets every Saturday where we have an hour of fellowship and an hour of study on a variety of subjects.
The Youth program (from 6th grade through 12th grade) meets on Sunday evening at 6:00. Depending on the Sunday, we have recreation, study, discussion, planning and watch videos. The Youth also has sleep-overs; one of the reasons for the sleep over is to raise money for mission trips through the Starve-A-Thon. Each August the Youth goes to the NAOMI House in Northern Arizona and does repairs, painting, cleaning, weed pulling and general maintenance.
We encourage those who are seeking a Biblically based fellowship to drop by and worship with us.
God Bless you all.
